A week of the flu has led me to new social experiments.
Today was the second time in three days I tried to invite a cat into the house through the window. I agree it might seem I am losing it completely. But I am still only sticking to cats. And I do wish to underline that although my first feline friend turned me down with the most intensely contemptuous gaze, he did agree to come closer to have a second look before thinking uh-uuh.
To my defense I'd also like to stress that the second cat, a long-haired grey and white kitten, came all the way from the street up to my front door, at least after I realised he would have a hard time with the 2-metre jump up on the veranda where I was making my desperate bid for attention. Contact finally being achieved, we had quite a time, with generous sunshine all over us, the snow, the first green grass and all of Sogndal below us - until Mr Cat decided to move on. I didn't ask him about the bird, but unless it was the monster from Twin Peaks who put it there, he could well be the one.
